Our publishing standard

Useful evidence. Clear limits.

A career decision deserves more than a confident headline. Here is what our pages can tell you, how they are made, and what they cannot establish.

Public records, not invented reporting

Our automated state summaries use structured workforce-notice records. They identify the agency and, when applicable, the third-party collector. They are assembled without an AI writing model. We do not present these summaries as interviews, investigations, or firsthand experience.

A filing is not a confirmed outcome

A notice describes a reported plan. Filing dates differ from effective dates; amendments and separate sites can overlap. We do not add overlapping notice counts into a jobs-lost total, infer that AI caused a reduction, or treat an employer notice as proof that a particular job is unsafe.

Freshness and coverage are visible

The publisher runs weekly. New summaries require a recently successful import, at least three recent dated notices, and a filing within the past 14 days. Third-party collections must also meet dataset-freshness checks. Failed or stale inputs do not produce a new article. Existing pages retain their original dates unless their content changes.

Coverage is partial and varies by state. A missing notice does not mean no layoffs occurred. Check the agency record before relying on a detail.

Corrections come before volume

Older automated articles without verifiable evidence are held out of public circulation. Their addresses show a review notice, not the original claims. We keep a private archive so the review is reversible and traceable.

Found a discrepancy? Send us the page and source record. We do not publish an unsupported claim simply to keep an article count high.

The commercial boundary

Our free assessments estimate task exposure, not the probability of losing a job. Paid plans provide worksheets and practical next steps, not employment guarantees. Product examples are labeled fictional. Any affiliate relationship must be disclosed and must not determine a risk score.
